Oak Galls, indigo, and taking your child to work.

A few captured moments from some sample dying with Sierra Reading. We worked with oak galls (a plant growth on Oak trees comprised of plant tissue) to create greys and blacks and experimented with some indigo dip dying tests as well. As it goes with family life and work schedules the two sometimes merge and fortunately for me Sierra was most accommodating. Stella pounded and pulverized oak galls, learned the basics of resist dying, and also did some "body-dying" with the indigo. We're so excited to be in the natural dying mix!
